Melvin William Teachworth Jr., age 61 of Double Springs, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at his residence. He was born June 4, 1963, to Melvin Sr. and Gladys Teachworth. Melvin often spent his time buying, trading, and selling cars. He enjoyed fishing a great deal. His perfect idea of a day was to enjoy the company of his family, especially his grandchildren. Family will receive friends, February 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, Alabama, where a service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Lynn Waddell will officiate. Melvin was survived by his children, Melvin (Heather) Teachworth III, Brandi (Josh) Murphy, Christopher Teachworth, Gladys (Brandon) Hyche; grandchildren, Joshua Kilgore, Shaylynn Mann, Rylee Guerra, Peyton Presley, Ashleigh Teachworth, Cayden Mann, Kaylee Hyche, Logan Hyche, and Emmery Hyche; and siblings, Lynn (Greg) Waddell, and Francis Bonacci. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Teachworth; parents, Melvin Sr. and Gladys Teachworth; siblings, Angie Teachworth, John Teachworth, Robbie Teachworth, and Billie Teachworth.
