Melvin Mitchell Mayes, age 71, of Jasper, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Leland Lowery will officiate.
Mr. Mayes was preceded in death by his Father-Robert Mayes; Mother-Sibyl Mayes; Brothers-Lenoard Mayes and Robert Mayes; Sisters-Naomi Johnson and Patrica Langston; Nephews-Dale Mayes, Mitchel Langston and Dewayne Mayes; Great Niece-Gracie Dahlstrom; Great Nephew-Scott Cornelius.
He is survived by Sister-Yolanda Joan Hilley; Brother-Irvin Lelton Mayes.
