Melvin Lewis “Milo” Metze, 59 of Arab passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, at Huntsville Hospital. Milo was born January 24, 1962, in Ohio the son of Edward Metze and Marion Eckert Metze. He had been disabled since 2013, but prier held many jobs such as septic tank worker, heating and air installer and carpenter to name a few. Milo spent his later years with his wife spoiling their grandchildren, spending time with friends and taking family vacations.
He is survived by his Wife of 38 years: Teresa Ann Suttles Metze; Three Sons: Jonathan Metze (Melissa Starnes), Dustin (Jenifer) Metze and Bradley Metze (Katie Sutton); Nine Grandchildren: Gary, Leann, Jacob, Robbie, Ashley, Chris, Angel, Brooklyn and Zachary; Sisters: Nancy (Don) Schrand, Teresa Pollard, Dorena (Jason) Palmer, Katy (Kevin) Parsons and Staci Rayburn; Sister-in-law: Teresa “TC” Eckert. He was preceded by Parents: Marion and Walter Dukes, Edward and Linda Metze; Brothers: Timothy “Red” Eckert, Edward Metze and Lewis (Melba) Metze; Grandparents: Melvin and Estelle Eckert, Hannah and Lewis Malott.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Gober Funeral Chapel with cremation to follow the service. Visitation will be 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
