Funeral services for Melvin Johnsey, Jr., 76, of Rienzi, MS is set for Wednesday, November 21, 2018 @ 1:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial at Rienzi Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 11:00am until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Born December 24, 1941 in Rienzi, Mr. Johnsey passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a member of Rienzi Baptist Church. Melvin was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and brother. He is survived by his son, M. Buddy Johnsey of Florence; daughter, Robin McEntyre (Kem) of Meridian; 3 grandchildren, Leslie Blackburn (Jaime), Elizabeth Fleming (Ryan) and Molly McEntyre; 5 great grandchildren, Preston, Hampton, Peyton, Malachi and Esther; sisters, Sandra Williams (Noble), Cathy Moore and Margaret Presley all of Rienzi; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Melvin is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Johnsey, Sr. and his mother, Louise Marecle Johnsey. Bro. Dennis Smith will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Josh Lawson, Brandon Moore, Trevor Williams, Ritchie Williams and Josh Hammock.
