Melvin Henry Holt, 71 of Sumiton, passed away on Tuesday April 21, 2020 while at his hunting club in Perry County.
Melvin was a member of Dora Church of God; he was a retired Foreman from the Walker County Road Commission. He loved to Turkey hunt and was a member of the Sumiton Buddies hunting club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Holt; parents, Howard and Bertie Holt; sister, Faye Martin and brothers, William and H.E. Holt.
Survivors include his daughter, Judy James and husband Gary Paul; son, Melvin R. Holt and wife Suzette; grandchildren, Stephanie Hazel (Chad), Brandon James, Robert Holt and Suzanne Holt; great grandchildren, Paisley and Finleigh James; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services and interment will be in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Please contact the family for any additional information.
