Melvin “Hank” Franklin Gravitt, age 87, Bear Creek, AL. passed away Thursday May 22, 2025. He was retired from Amerigas and enjoyed working his Mules and Horses.
Visitation will be Sunday May 25, 2025 from 1:00PM – 2:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 2:00PM in the chapel. Burial to follow in Bear Creek Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Wendell Gravitt and Dewayne Gravitt; step daughters, Patricia Oliver, Kathy Knight and Paula (Mike) Lawrence; 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren; a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Leon Gravitt and Susie Katherine Phillips Gravitt; daughter, Jimmie Diane Aderholt; grandson, Matthew Lawrence; granddaughter, Shebra Hosler; brothers and sisters, Gilbert, Lillian, Loyd, Mildred, Travis, Elliott, Louise and Inez; wife Patricia Gail Gravitt who passed away April 16, 2025
