Funeral services for Mr. Melvin D Campbell, age 80 of Lineville will be held on Saturday June 28, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland, with Brother Scott Epperson and Sister Alice Watts officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Christian Church Cemetery. Melvin had lived all his life in Clay County, was a hardworking man. He worked over 30 years at Wellborn Cabinets in Ashland and also pulp wooding in his spare time. He also enjoyed fishing whenever he could.

He is survived by his daughter; Jennifer Barnwell (Joe) of Ashland, his sons; Jerry Campbell (Sue) of Sylacauga, Kendall D. Campbell of Lineville, and Allen Lipham (Kay) of Ashland, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three sisters; Virginia Knowles (Mickey) of Ashland, Janice Haynes (Stanley) of Ashland, and Jeanette Harmon of Heflin, three brothers; Phillip Campbell and Glenn Campbell of Ashland, and Billy Wayne Waldrop (Linda) of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his parents; L D Campbell and Ellie Johnson Campbell, his wife; Mary Joyce Creed Campbell; his grandson Shane Campbell; his granddaughter Miranda Crawford, three sisters; Dorothy Smith, Sandra Smith, and Joyce Perez, and one brother; Ray Campbell.

Pallbearers will be Donald Campbell, Randal Haynes, Josh Haynes, Jonathan Lipham, Jimmy Campbell, Chad Jordan, James Campbell, and Eli Campbell.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home of Ashland on Friday June 27, 2025 from 5:30 until 8:00 P.M. and until service time on Saturday.
