Melvin C. Hinton Jr., 71, formerly of Florence, Ala., died April 4, 2013. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield. Elkins Funeral Home, Florence, is directing.
