Melinda Sue Jackson Johnson, 55, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2018. Visitation will be today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Wednesday, Feb. 7, at noon in the funeral home chapel with Steven Hovater officiating. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery.
Melinda was a native of Colbert County and was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Wallace, and grandparents, Johnnie and Elizabeth Hovater.
Melinda is survived by her son, Jesse Johnson (Amanda); daughter, Stephanie Alexander; three grandchildren, Connor, Kylee, and Amberlee; longtime partner, David Boddie; father, Robert Earl Jackson (Suzanne); stepfather, Clayton Wallace Jr; sisters, Belinda Jackson and Cindy Aldridge (Stuart); half brother, Robbie Jackson (Keri); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris, David, Jacob, and Paul Pate, Stuart Aldridge, and Jamie Holt.
