Melinda L. Nye, 63, of Killen, passed away Jan. 20, 2015, at Huntsville Hospital after an extended illness.
A recitation of the Rosary will be Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. with the visitation from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Roy Runkle and the Rev. Henry McDaid officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Rest in Escanba, Michigan.
Mrs. Nye was preceded in death by her parents, Nelse Albin and Ethel Madeline Larson, son, Christopher, and brother, Thomas.
She is survived by her husband, David Nye, of Killen; son, Seth Nye (Kelle), of New Albany, Ohio; daughters, Sarah Myrick (Jonathan), of Birmingham, and Carly Nye (Joseph), of Huntsville; sisters, Katherine “Kitty” Olsen (Charles) and Estelle “Ellie” Myron (Chuck); and grandchildren, Catherine, Jacob, Eli, and Caroline Myrick.
Children, spouses, and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
