Melinda Herring Frix, age 73 of Bear Creek, Alabama passed away November 19, 2023 at her home. She was a member of the University of Alabama National Alumni Association and Alabama Education Retirees Association, retired Family Consumer Science Teacher having taught 39 years, with Winfield City BOE and the Marion Co. BOE, and a member of Bear Creek No. 1 Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. The funeral will begin at 12:00 Noon in the chapel with Adam Hyde and Richard Crumpton officiating. Burial will follow in Bear Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Frix is survived by her husband Sonny Lee Frix; children, Lee Herring Frix, wife, Elaine, and Mary Alma Jackson, husband, Josh; brother, Myron Herring; and grandchildren, Eli Bryant Jackson and Marlee Elaine Frix.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James W. and Nell Herring; and brother, Michael Herring.
