Melinda Carol Goodwin, 55, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, at her home in Huntland, Tennessee. Born on March 16, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Bobby Ray Helton and Mary Sue Guthrie Helton.
Ms. Carol lived around the North Alabama/South Tennessee area her entire life and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Crystall Stovall.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Goodwin, four sons; Shawn (Teena) Luna, Shane Luna, Jason Goodwin, and Jeff (Wendy) Goodwin, two daughters; Alisha (Rob) Luna and Candance (Craig) Bledsoe, four brothers; Dennis (Robin) Helton, Earl (Tabitha) Byrom, Tommy (Carrie) Perry, and Rusty Helton, three sisters; Leann (Mark) Nichols, Belinda Helton, and Brandi (Eddie) Singer, one stepmom Lola Helton, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation for Ms. Carol will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama from 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM.
A chapel service will be held the following day, Tuesday, April 5th, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. Doug Colwell officiating. Ms. Carol is to be laid to rest at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama.
