Melanie Kay Menke, age 73, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Born on April 21, 1949, in Millington, Tennessee, Melanie was the daughter of the late Morgan Edward McDonald and the late Katherine Richards McDonald. She enjoyed going to church and was most recently attending The Bridge. A caring and giving person, Melanie was always doing stuff for other people. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Samantha (Christopher) Sabatino, sister, Margaret McDonald, and three grandchildren, Morgan Isabelle Sabatino, Sophia Rose Sabatino, and Luca James Sabatino.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Morgan E. McDonald, Jr.
The family will celebrate her life with a service at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
