Funeral Service for Melanie A. Mitchell, 65, will be Sunday, December 29, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Danville Baptist Church with Bro Joe David Bailey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 – 2:30 PM at Danville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Mitchell died Monday, December 23, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 4, 1959, to Ruben and Lois Nichols.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by:
Husband- R. Brent Mitchell
Son- Dustin Mitchell (Josey)
Daughter- Kathryn Lipson (Ryan)
Brother- Ruben Vaughn Nichols, Jr.
Sisters- Janice Heacock and Marilyn Nichols
3 grandchildren- Ollie, EMJ, and Finn
