Funeral for Mearline Stewart Johnson, 74, of Hillsboro will be Sunday, March 15, 2015, at 4 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Penny Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Johnson died Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Lawrence Medical Center. She was born April 10, 1940, to Jamie Lewis Stewart and Nola I. Stewart. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Darrell Ray Johnson; and two sisters, Nell Proctor and Catherine Lipscomb.
Survivors include her husband, Loyd Ray Johnson; two daughters, Marilyn Delene Winchester and Onita Anderton (Marvin); five grandchildren, Cynthia Moss, Kesha Anderton, Candace Winchester, Regina Winchester and Gavin Anderton; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Anderton and Samantha Waldrep; one brother, Gary Louis Stewart; and one sister, Norma Sue Terry.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Johnson, Samual Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Gavin Anderton, Michael Moss and Thomas Haynes.
