Obituary of McEllis Nabers McEllis Leonard Nabers, 101, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, at his home. He was born March 11, 1922, to Monroe and Sybil Nabers. He was a member of First Methodist Church, the VFW. He was a World War II and Korea War veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a Welfare Agent for the State of Mississippi. He enjoyed raising cows, and Mississippi State and SEC sports.

Visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2024, from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service with Military Honors will follow in Booneville Cemetery with Bro. Trey Lambert officiating.

He is survived by one son, Mike Nabers (Jean); two grandchildren, Rebecca Gayle Munns (Marshall) and Michael Lee Nabers (Paris); three great-grandchildren, Natalie Munns, Shyanne Nabers and Sadie Nabers; and his dedicated and caring caregivers, Robbie McCoy, Angie Humphres, Eddie Sparks, Sister Pat Smith and Ron Alley.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years,, Hazel Nabers in 2008; his parents; a brother, Houston Nabers; and a sister, Margie Gresham.
