Mazel Scott – Obituary

Mazel Scott, 89, died Friday, May 24, 2013 at The Meadows, Fulton, Ms. She was born November 4, 1923 in Tennessee and was a housewife. She attended Tishomingo Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 26, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Ms. with Bro. Robbie Crane officiating. Burial will be in Harmontown Baptist Church Cemetery, Como, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms. will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are one son – Bobby Scott (Charlotte) Dennis, Ms.; five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; her twin sister – Hazel E. Spinola, Memphis, Tn.; one brother – Harry Butler (Etheline) Memphis, Tn. and a sister-in-law – Sue Butler, Memphis, Tn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor R. Scott, a son, Victor L. Scott, a grandson, Ryan Scott and a brother, Frank Butler.

Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Sunday, May 26, at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baptist Children’s Village or American Cancer Society.
MARILYN CRANE

 

BELMONT, MS. – Marilyn Brosious Crane, 52, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at UAB, Birmingham, Al. She was born November 4, 1960 in Booneville, Ms. and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Belmont, Ms.

 

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at First Baptist Church, Belmont, Ms. with Bro. Ray Burks, Bro. Greg Forbus and Bro. David Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens, Dennis, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms. will be in charge of arrangements.

 

Survivors are her husband – Tommy Crane, Belmont, Ms.; three daughters – Samantha Johnson (Lee) Belmont, Ms., Devin Fancher (Grant) Mooreville, Ms. and Nikki Tacker (John Michael) Thaxton, Ms.; two grandchildren – Ridge Tacker and Stella Johnson; her mother – Margie Brosious, Belmont, Ms.; two brothers – Frankie Brosious, Belmont, Ms. and Eddie Brosious, Nashville, Tn. and several aunts, uncles and very special friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Brosious and her grandparents, Lola and Tommy Chambers and Leslie and Celestie Brosious.

 

Pallbearers will be Greg Pharr, Wayne Stanfield, Woody Watson, Bill Petree, Steve Ratliff and Pete Brandon.

 

Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at First Baptist Church, Belmont, Ms.
