Maybrice Lyn Henry was born in Harriman TN to the late Sam Henry of Manchester TN and Mary Magdalene Henry of Naples FL.
Maybrice was a very well traveled lady and had lived and worked in several states, living in Indianapolis Indiana for the past 18 years until moving back to Selmer in October of 2023. Her first job was in a doctor’s office when she was 17 years old. She held various jobs in the different places she lived, but she seemed to enjoy her job at Cracker Barrel and the Secretary job that she retired from in Huntington Beach, CA the most.
Maybrice had a passion for playing pool and was a very good pool player. She actually had a custom made pool cue that she was very proud of and it doubled as a walking stick. She enjoyed quilting in her younger years and had a beautiful quilt that she had made. She was a lovely outgoing person and made friends easily, just enjoyed life wherever she went. She loved her tiny Chihuahua Milo, he was constantly at her side. Though you couldn’t tell it, she loved to eat. Her favorite places to eat were Arby’s where she’d always order their French Dip Combo with a Coke and Cracker Barrel where she loved a variety of foods and always loved the earring cards they sold there with the big assortment of earrings. Another of her passions was junk jewelry, she loved it. Enjoyed collecting and wearing it. And even at age 71, she still loved Barbie Dolls! She enjoyed getting them out and looking at them. A new Barbie for Christmas or her birthday would just thrill her to her toes! She was always very easily and genuinely pleased with any small gift.
Maybrice left us December 09, 2024 to rest eternally in the presence of her Lord Jesus. She leaves to cherish her memory a Daughter, Erin Etcheson, her Mother, Magdalene Henry & her Sister Leighann Gentry & Husband Bryan of Naples FL, Cousin Joe King & Wife Donna of Selmer and 6 Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Sam Henry of Manchester TN, her Grandparents, Samuel and Izola Henry, Albert and Gladys Mullins of Selmer and a Brother Sammy Henry of Peoria, IL.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate and honor the life of Maybrice Henry.
