Maxine Scott Boyd, 74, died Monday, December 16, 2019 at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born in Hodges, AL and worked at Golden Manufacturing Co., Golden, MS. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church, Tremont, MS.
Services will be Thursday, December 19, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Glenn Bridgmon officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Belmont, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are her husband of fifty-seven years – Marvin Boyd, Dennis, MS; five children– Kenneth Boyd (Lisa), Red Bay, AL, Billy Boyd, Red Bay, AL, Mildred Jackson (Brent) Phil Campbell, AL, Christine Luttrell (Danny Brock) Tishomingo, MS and Brenda Owens, Red Bay, AL; eighteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers – Roy Scott (Debbie) and Robert Scott (Brenda) and one sister – Margaret Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Hazel Mae Taylor Scott, three brothers, Randall Scott, James Scott and Troy Scott and one sister, Ruby King.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Boyd, Brent Lee Jackson, Billy Boyd, Ronnie Scott, Ricky Credille, Faron Credille and Brent Jackson.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 19, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
