Maxine Nails Jarrett Profile Photo Maxine Nails Jarrett, a cherished soul, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the age of 98 in the compassionate care of the West Tennessee Veteran Home in Humboldt, TN. Maxine was a remarkable individual who will forever be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and love for her family.

Born on June 18, 1925, in Lake County, TN, the daughter of the late Henry and Edna Blankenship Nails.Maxine led a fulfilling life characterized by dedication and hard work. Throughout her career, she contributed her talents to various companies including Webber Costello, Jarvis Manufacturing, and Owens Corning before embracing retirement with grace.

Maxine’s memory will be treasured by all who knew her. Her passion for cooking brought joy to countless family gatherings where she delighted in preparing meals for her loved ones. Additionally, she enjoyed the thrill of playing Bingo—a pastime that brought laughter and shared moments with those around her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edgar Jarrett, her daughter Jane Avery, her son, Danny Jarrett, as well as her sisters Evelyn Morris, Dorothy Loynes, Betty Lewis, Jewel Lundy, and brother Buddy Nails.

Maxine’s spirit will forever live on through those who survive her: her daughter Brenda Maness and husband J.R., daughter Gloria Lamuska and husband Roy, son Bobby Jarrett and wife Benita. She is also survived by grandchildren Rodney Maness, Capri Anderson, Dakotah Lamuska, Tallecia Avery, Tonya McGee, Heather Butler, Daniel Jarrett, and Jason Jarrett; along with several step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation to honor Maxine’s life will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors with Mr. Mark White officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
