Mrs. Maxine Hamm Edgin Maxine Hamm Edgin, of Scotts Hil, passed away early Friday in Decaturville, at the age of 82. She was born January 13, 1943, in Chester County, to the late Willie Lee Hamm and Delphia Johnson Hamm, and was the widow of Earl D. Edgin. She had worked at Salant & Salant, H.I.S., Coca-Cola, and the Dairy Bar.
Mrs. Edgin loved her flowers and her cats. She loved spending time with her family, and was always giving and helping in any way she could. She was Baptist in belief.
Mrs. Edgin is survived by a son, Bryan Smith (Renee); two grandchildren, Brittany Bryant (Josh) and Rachel Gibson (Hunter); three great grandchildren: Elena Bryant, Archer Gibson, and Brooks Gibson; and a sister, Brenda Jones (Larry). In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Edgin was preceded in death by four brothers: Herbert Hamm, Jerry Paul Hamm, Jeff Hamm, and Kenneth Hamm; and one sister, Mayrene Fisher.
Visitation with the family will be at Pafford Funeral Home of Scotts Hill on Sunday, July 27, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and on Monday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 PM in the Pafford Scotts Hill Chapel. Burial will be in the Scotts Hill Methodist Cemetery.
