Mrs. Maxine B. Flowers, age 88, passed away late Monday, February 19, 2024 in Lexington. She was born April 10, 1935 in Henderson County to the late Ezra and Zylphia Watson Bledsoe. She was retired from Salant/Salant. She was the family caretaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Reeder Elco Flowers; her son, Terry Flowers; her brother, J. B. Bledsoe; and three sisters, Nellie Stegall, Madge McEarl, and Mable Ethridge. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Lomax (Lannie); daughter-in-law, Patricia Flowers; one sister, Mavine Russell; four grandchildren, Lanisha Lomax, Leslie Lomax, Dekota Flowers, and Savanna Brooks (Christian); and two great grandchildren, Jase and Bonnie Flowers.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM, Friday, February 23, 2024 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Judson Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 4 – 9 PM and on Friday, 9 AM -1 PM.
