Memorial services for Mr. Max Ray Bowman, age 81, are scheduled for 11 AM, Monday, December 9, 2019 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Mr. Bowman passed away early Friday in Lexington. He was born June 23, 1938 in Henderson County to the late Andy Ray and Vernelle Woods Bowman. He was retired from TVA and loved hunting and fishing. Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Alice Faye Stokley Bowman and one son, Ricky Bowman. Survivors include his son, Michael Bowman (Lorrie); two step-daughters, Phyliss and Kathy; his brother, Danny Bowman (Gayle); his sister, Dorris Williams; five grandchildren, Mitchell Bowman, Forrest Bowman, Whitney Wilson, Elizabeth Hart, and Brad Astin; and nine great grandchildren.
