Max Allen Plunk – Obituary

Max Allen Plunk was born January 27, 1955 in Canalou, MO the son of Velma Smith Gettel and the late Robert Floyd Plunk.

Max was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the McNairy Community. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He worked as a carpenter and painter, he loved being outdoors, and was always fixing something to make use of his time.

He departed this life on Monday, July 9, 2012 in Memphis, TN at the age of 57 years, 5 months, and 12 days.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn of Corinth, MS; a daughter, Katrina Plunk of IL; his mother, Velma Smith Plunk Gettel of Bethel Springs, TN; stepmother, Mary Helen Plunk of Corinth, MS; two stepdaughters, Deborah Henry of Katy, TX, Rebecca Sanders of Bethel Springs, TN; a stepson, James Dean Pegram of Katy, TX; two sisters, Edith Martin of Morris Chapel, TN, Doris Hamilton of Bethel Springs, TN; three brothers, Buford Plunk of Bethel Springs, TN, Neal Plunk of Bethel Springs, TN, James Plunk of Finger, TN; 9 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to his father, Mr. Plunk was preceded in death by two stepsons, Thomas Pegram and Charles Pegram.
