Mavis McDonald Wheeler, age 95, of Winfield, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at her residence.
She is survived by daughters, Jane (Jim) Raines, of Winfield, and Alice W. (Jearl) Weeks, of Muscle Shoals; sons, Charles R. Wheeler Jr., of Winfield, and Robert H. “Bob” Wheeler, of Guin; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Gaynell Dunavant, Vergie Housh, and Sue Howell, all of Winfield; brothers, Curtis McDonald, of Guin, and Thurmond McDonald, of Winfield; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Friday at noon at the Winfield First United Methodist Church. Burial followed in the Winfield City Cemetery. Donations may be made to Big Oak Ranch, P.O. Box 507, Springville, AL 35146, in Mrs. Wheeler’s honor.
