Mavis Angeline Adcock, 76 of Toney, Alabama passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014, at her home.
She was born Thursday, May 20, 1937 in Limestone County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late George Malcom King and the late Louise George King. She retired from NASA after 25 years of service.
She is survivied by her husband, Allen Adcock of Toney, AL: sons, Jeffrey A. (Kim) Adcock of Toney, AL and Gregory S. Adcock of Toney, AL.: a granddaughter Tara Adcock (Luis) Padilla of Harvest, AL, a great grandson, Luke Whitt.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Clyde (Moody) King, aunt Rosa King, and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike McFarlen and Rev. Roger Berry officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
Family will recieve friends Monday, March 10,2014, from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home.
