A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Mavene Brown Holt, 84, will be Friday, May 22, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Legg and Bro. Wendell Callahan officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  No visitation is scheduled.

Mrs. Holt died on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at her residence.  She was born April 29, 1936, in Lawrence County to Thomas Walter Brown and Lula Maud (McCormick) Brown.  She was employed as an L.P.N. for Hartselle Medical Center and Baugh Wiley Hospital,  prior to her retirement. Mrs. Holt was a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Disabled American Veteran’s Auxillary and enjoyed attending the Senior Center at Neel.  She was a longtime caregiver to her family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband: Hoyit Holt, her step-son’s: Spencer and Arvel Holt and her parents.

Her family extends “Special Thanks” to Southern Care Hospice.

Survivors include

Daughter – Myra Faulkner, Hartselle, AL

Three Sons – Jack Holt, Michigan,
Howard Holt, Michigan and
Wallace Holt, Kentucky

Two Sisters – Ruth Wallace, Hartselle, AL and
Ruby George, Tennessee

Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren

and A host of nieces and nephews

Pallbearers will be Truman Wallace, Randy George, Josh Reed, Kelly Johnson, Trenton Hart, Dalton Hart.
