A service to celebrate the life of Maury Russel Sills, 71, will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Monday April 12th at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Glenfield Memorial Gardens in New Albany.

Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 AM until service time.

Maury died on April 9, 2021 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born in New Albany on February 10, 1950 to the late Troy and Frances Russell. She was a graduate of W.P. Daniels High School and Mississippi State University. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. She was the owner and operator of Russell’s Beef House where she carried on the traditions that has attracted people from all around. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards with her friends but most importantly she lived for her 3 grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Russell Smith and wife Julia; grandchildren, Lucy, Lilly and Mary Russell Smith all of Corinth; brother, Dennis Russell and wife Ann of Germantown; nephew, Eddie White (Denise) and their children Ellie and Emily of Flower Mound, TX; niece, Rhonda Powell and their daughter Isabella and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Sills.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Gleamers Sunday School Class,her Bridge Club friends, and the staff at Russell’s Beef House.

Bro. Dennis Smith will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honor of Maury to the Corinth Alcorn Literacy Council and 1023 N. Fillmore St. Corinth, MS 38834.
