Maurice Winfred Gipson, 83 years of age, loving husband, dearly loved daddy, treasured grandaddy and great-granddaddy, passed from this life December 31st at his home.
Winfred, affectionately known as “Unc” or “Gip” to many, was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Minnie Gipson; father- and mother-in-law, Rev. Denton (Preacher) and Leola Adams; brothers: Frank Gipson, Jr., William Gipson, Lewis Gipson, George Gipson, Lawrence Gipson and Alvin Gipson, and sisters Sara Gipson, Irene Fanning, Ruth Mitchell and Ruby Gray; son-in-law Dale Sauls.
Left to cherish wonderful memories are his loving wife of 63 years, Wanda Ruth Adams Gipson; son, Rodney (Anita) Gipson; daughter, Regina (Steve) League; and son, Rusty (Amy) Gipson; grandchildren Marlee Mann, Chase (Jenna) Gipson, Kayley (TJ) Osborne, Ryan (Kacy)League and Lauren (Edward) Serna; and great-grandchildren Hunter Osborne, Kolter Gipson, William Osborne, Anna Kate Serna, Lakelyn League and Caroline Serna and sister, Josie Spain.
Pallbearers are family members Chase Gipson, TJ Osborne, Mike Mitchell, Steve Gipson, Scott Adams and Brad Fanning.
Due to current restrictions, a private family service will be held with “Unc’s” beloved nephew Rev. Danny Gipson officiating.
