Maurice William Bates, 85 of Athens, Alabama, died Thursday, May 23, 2024 at his residence.
Mr. Bates was born November 9, 1938 in Limestone County and he was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and he was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber.
Services will be 2PM Tuesday at Fairview Baptist Church with George Whitten officiating, burial in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday 1PM until 2PM at the church.
