Mauldin Bratton, age 90, passed away March 9, 2017. Visitation was Sunday, March 12, from 12:30-2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral was at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Kenny Barfield officiating. Burial was private.
Mrs. Bratton’s passion was helping others. She never met a stranger and would always provide for the needs of others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Hattie Mauldin; brothers, Frankie and Glen Mauldin; sisters, June Holland and Inez Gandy; and grandson, Mike McFall.
She is survived by her children, James Bratton, Shirley Pigg, Sandra (Larry) Perkins, Shelby (Jimmy) Dodd, Lanny Bratton, and Randy (Alice) Bratton; sisters, Earline (Cloyd) Lindsey, Faye Vouchillon, and Ann Fisher; 12 grandhchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the youth group at Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
The family would like to express their appreciation to her sitters and to Amedisys Hospice for their loving care.
