Maudie L. Childers was born May 20, 1932 and died October 7, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Cassie Sadler, husband, Delbert Childers, son, Byron Childers, sisters, Nancy Rogers and Edna Crowe, and brothers, William Sadler and John Sadler. She is survived by her daughter, Regina Swafford and Roger, son, Tim Childers and Shirley, and daughter-in-law, Burlene Phillips and Henry. Grandchildren, Stacey Morring and Matt, Kelly Tindol and Jason, Brandon Childers and Kamille, Pam Gill and Tony, and Greg Childers and Penny. Great grandchildren, Beth Ann Morring, Samuel Tindol, Haley Whaley and Kevin, and Craig Childers. Great great grandson, Kyler Whaley. Brother, Doyle Sadler and Gloria, and sister, Mary Bradford. Also, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She worked at the Lee High School cafeteria for 20 years. She loved her church family at Lincoln Church of Christ, where she was a faithful member for 65 years. She also loved her extended family on Redbud Drive.
A private graveside service will be held by Berryhill Funeral Home at Huntsville Memory Gardens on Monday, October 12, 2020, with burial to follow. Ron Williams will be officiating.
