Mattie Estella Byrd, age 86, of Fultondale, AL passed away Tuesday, December 01, 2015 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, and a member of The Vineyard Church in Birmingham. Estella was a magnificent woman of God and enjoyed her life to the fullest. She brought joy and humor to everyone she met. She adored her family and many, many friends. Her spirit was pure and she was truly one of the kindest people you would ever meet. The verse she lived by daily was, “This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it!” Psalm 118:24
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Parker and Esther Mae Seymore Leatherwood.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, December 04, 2015 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 05, 2015, with Shane Littrell officiating.
