Matthew Littleton McAnear, age 55, Gadsden, Alabama, passed away April 16, 2022. The family will celebrate his life on Wednesday, April 20th in a private service. He loved watching Alabama football with family and westerns. He loved animals, especially his cat Callie. We are comforted knowing that he is no longer in pain and in the presence of our Lord. Matthew is preceded in death by his father, John McAnear, Jr, his brother, Mark McAnear and grandparents John McAnear, Sr., Clois McAnear, Frank Gatlin, and Irene Carr, Uncle Wayne McAnear. Matthew is survived by his mother, Beverley Keel, and stepfather Colin (Bud) Keel his sister, Debbie Murray (Terry) his children, James (Brandi), Daniel, (Misty), Justin, (Sheena), Brooke George, (Kevin) and Zack McAnear, seven grandchildren, Luke, Haley, Hanna, Gage, Addie, Miriam and Saddie, nephews, John David (Jamie) Jonathan (Tiffany), Taylor and Terry, great nephew John Edward and niece Isabelle that he adored, Aunts, Marilyn McAnear, Kim Lancaster and cousins, Chris, David and Rachael. “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4 Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.collier-butler.com for the McAnear family.
