Matthew Alexander Kennedy, 19 of Arab, died Tuesday February 7, 2017 in an automobile accident.
Mr. Kennedy was born December 29, 1997 in Marshall County to Anthony Alan Kennedy and Denise Ann Maynor. Matthew attended Arab High School and was a member of the Fishing Team and Basketball Team, he also attended Brindlee Mountain High School where he played football. He recently worked for Reed Construction as a pipe layer.
He attended Liberty Church.
Matthew is survived by his parents: Denise Ann Maynor and Keith Mahathey, Anthony A. Kennedy and Sherri Kennedy; grandparents: Joyce A. Jimmerson, Joan and William Bounds, Robert and Eunice Kennedy and Dennis and Becky Maynor; a brother; Michael Anthony Kennedy; step brother: Bradley Mahathey; sister and brother-in-law: Megan Joanna and Tylor Porter; step sister: Peyton Grace Breedwell; nephews: Jayden Storm Porter and Samuel Elysia Porter and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday February 10, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Bryan Mosley, officiating. Burial will be in Brashiers Chapel Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Maynor, Brian Kennedy, Derek Chambers, Steven Smith, Austin Garner, Robby Dukeminier, Matt Dorsett and Michael Dorsett.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday February 9, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
