Mary Weaver Berry, 85, of Double Springs entered into rest on December 18, 2012 at Hanceville Nursing Home.
She was born on April 29, 1927 in Double Springs to John S. and Lilah Weaver Briscoe. She graduated from Winston County High School in the class of 1945. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church Double Springs, Alabama, where she served for a time as secretary.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 2pm at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville. Reverend Phillip Twilley will officiate.
She is survived by her son, Ken Berry; brother, Doyce Briscoe and his wife, Dottie; she was Hee Hee to two grandchildren, Ashley Berry (Michael) Saba, Chad Michael (Mallie) Berry; and 3 great grandchildren, Deborah Isabella Berry, Jackson Anthony Berry and Grace Gilliam Saba. She was preceded in death by her father, John S. Briscoe; mother, Lilah Weaver Briscoe; daughter-in-law, Deborah Williams Berry; brothers, Dallas, Orville, and Earl Briscoe; sisters, Ivah Stephens, Lorus Baggett, and Era Baggett.
