Mary Terry Phillips Thorn Vandegrift, 92, of Huntsville passed away at home on Tuesday.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Lue Thorn English (Bill) and Terrie Thorn Bruner (Granville); grandsons, Walter J. Glenn (Susan), Thomas M. English (Heather), Robert W. English, Paxton C. Osborne (Elissa), Ian E. Osborne, and Nathan H. Bruner (Faith); five great-granddaughters, Maya S. Glenn, Savannah G. Osborne, Lilli F. English, Madison K. Osborne, Cosette G. Bruner, and Sadie L. English; three great-grandsons, Walter Liam E. Glenn, Isaac N. Bruner, and Jacob Mac Bruner. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas Russell Phillips and Lucille Murrah Phillips; brothers, William Edward Phillips and Thomas Russell Phillips II; her husbands, Mac. C. Thorn and Curtis A. Vandegrift; niece, Frances Phillips Neely; nephews, Thomas Russell Phillips III and Tom Chris; and grandnephew, Andrew F. Chris.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Southside Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2 P.M. at the church with the Rev. Murray Wilton officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
