Mary Sue Darby, 93, of Florence, passed away March 5, 2017 at E.C.M. Hospital. She was a very active member of Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ and the Better Garden Club. Mother and daddy loved working in the garden and spending time outdoors and they shared that love with everyone who knew them. A big part of their lives was the time spent with their church family. Mother loved being surrounded by family and friends and especially the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She dearly loved her husband who she has missed since he has been gone; but now they are together.
Visitation will be today, Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Kenny Barfield officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Darby was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Darby.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Darby Hall (Brad) of Florence; son, Bruce Darby (Wendy) of Florence; grandchildren, Alan Hall (Dinah) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Andrew Hall (Elizabeth) of Auburn, and Ethan Darby (Jessica) of Huntsville; and great-grandchildren, Will and Darby Hall of Mt. Juliet, TN.
Pallbearers will include: Alan Hall, Andrew Hall, Ethan Darby, Jonathan Snell, David Webb, and Ken Springer.
