Mary Sue Criddle Voyles, 81, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Pontotoc Health and Rehab. Born on July 5, 1944, in Buckhorn, MS, she was the daughter of William Bryant and O.B. Dotson Criddle. After completing high school, Mary married Andrew H. ‘Junior’ Voyles, Jr. and settled in Memphis, TN, where they raised two daughters. They lost their youngest daughter, Shelia, in 1976. Mary was a devoted homemaker and a Christian lady who attended the Church of Christ until her health prevented her from doing so. She cherished her faith and her family deeply.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Voyles Ford, her grandchildren, Danielle Davis (Brad), Zach Ford, and Chase Ford, her great-grandchildren, John Davis and Clara Davis, and her beloved cousins, Glenda Moore, Dorothy Cox, Glenda Bailey, Marilyn Holliday, and Larry Swanson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Shelia, her husband Junior, her brothers William, Bud, and Jimmy Dale Criddle, and her sisters Jewel Partain, Effielene Walls, Maggie Reynolds, Sally Watson, and Gladys Criddle.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 12pm at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc, with visitation beginning at 10am. Burial will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Walnut, MS.
