Mary Ruth Scott Beck, born Jan. 21, 1943, in Colbert County, died April 24, 2016, at ECM Hospital in Florence, Alabama. She was 73. She was an administrative assistant for Chemstrand.
She is survived by sons, Blake Beck (Bonnie), Hatton, Alabama, and Scott Beck (Kim), Hatton, Alabama; sister, Ann Fletcher, Muscle Shoals, Alabama; granddaughters, Amy Dutton (Dustin), Madison, Alabama, Allison Beck, Hatton, Alabama, and Jerica Brackin (Jade), Hatton, Alabama; grandson, Jordan Beck, Hatton, Alabama; and great-grandson, Jett Brackin.
Ricky Wallace, Vic Holt, Jade Brackin, Brian Parker, Andrew Parker, Jeff Vines, and Josh Vines will serve as pallbearers.
She was preceded in death by husband, Billy Dawson Beck; father, Floyd Scott; mother, Lizzie Bell Dickens Scott; and sister, Jean Wallace.
Mrs. Beck was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27, 2016, 1-2 p.m., at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Lawrence Funeral Home. Brother Terry Settles is officiating. Interment will be in Providence Cemetery
