Mary Ruth Martin Pool, 69 of Arab passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Marshall Medical Center North. She was born February 26, 1956, in Guntersville, the daughter of Talmadge Martin and Nila Faye Nearen Martin. She was a graduate of Arab High School and retired from Syncro. She was married to Gene R. “Randy” Pool, who passed away December 4, 2021.
She is survived by son: Brian Pool (Jessica); daughter: Heather Phillips (Derrick); grandchildren: Judd Pool, Holden Pool, Paxton Phillips and Easton Phillips; sisters: Fay Whitlock and Teresa Klopfer; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by husband: Randy Pool; parents: Talmadge and Nila Faye Martin.
Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Brashier’s Chapel Cemetery with Mike Shirley officiating, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers: Judd Pool, Holden Pool, Paxton Phillips, Chris Whitlock, Kyle Page and Derrick Phillips.
