Mary Ruth Lockhart, age 85 of Dora, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, praising God with her last breath. She was a member of Dora Church of God. She loved to cook and feed her family and anointed everything that she prepared. She loved to cook Southern food for her family and her pastor, Bro. Lewis Smith. She was a witness for Jesus Christ, especially in Wal-Mart. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed.
Memorial service will be Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Dora Church of God at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends beginning 10:00 am at the church. Bro. Lewis Smith will officiate.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Edna Wiley; son, Christopher “Chris” Dale Mitchell; brother, Billy Ray Wiley; sisters, Opal Wiley, Doris Jean Wiley, Betty Calloway, Earnestine Vaughn, and Johnnie Pettit.
She is survived by her children, Sandra White (Larry), Rayburn Mitchell, Kathy Allen (Mike), Chad Mitchell (Rachel); brother, Henry Levon Wiley (Glenda); grandchildren, Sabrina Whitescarver, (Brigitt), Matthew White (Beth), Jeremy Brady Mitchell (Jessica), Kaitlyn Phillips (Ian), Ashlee Brooke Mitchell, Sherrie Myrick, (Anthony), Kobe Mitchell, Ryan Mitchell, Kinsly Mitchell, Kylie Mitchell; great grandchildren, River Whitescarver, Halleson Thompson (Matt), Noah White, Kylie McCollough, Sydney McCollough, Landon McCollough, Thomas Bradey Mitchell, Emily Mitchell, Mahayla Mitchell, Caleb Myrick, Joshua Myrick; and a host of nieces and nephews.
