Funeral service for Mary Olivia Cooksey, 70, of Dodge City will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 16th, 2014 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Ralph Andrews officiating with interment in Shelton Grove Cemetery.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Cooksey went home to be with her Savior, Saturday, December 13th at her residence. She was born February 18, 1944 to parents, Oscar & Nellie Mallard Pierce. Mary was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She was a nurse and thought of it as a ministry. She made several mission trips to the Ukraine, Honduras and Phillipines.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of over 50 years, Bobby Cooksey; two sons, Jeffrey Cooksey, Randall (Esther) Cooksey; daughter, Angela Buchanan; sisters, Annette Taylor, Patsy Earnest; granddaughter, Stacey (Wayne) Day; Great-Grandchildren, Rachel Grace and Allison; a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday evening at the funeral home from 5:30 – 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Reggie Clark, Steve Taylor, Ethan Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Billy Taylor, Chip Earnest.
