Mary-Woodbury-1449148040Mary ‘Nana’ Woodbury, age 92 of Bolivar, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 2, 2015.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Bolivar Memorial Cemetery.

Mary ‘Nana’ Woodbury was born on Saturday, August 25, 1923, to Frank Lester Merrill and Dorothy L. Manthorn Merrill and was a homemaker. A devoted, faithful Christian who loved reading in and meditating on her Bible and evangelizing others, she was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Pennsylvania, and attended Bible Baptist Church in Bolivar. She married Arthur Vincent Woodbury on March 1, 1944 and he preceded her in death in 1997. She enjoyed shopping, riding about, visiting her family, and her “lobstuh and buttuh.” She lived Bolivar since 1999, and previously had lived in Nogales, AZ, and Pennsylvania for 9 years.

She is survived by her son, Frank Woodbury of Bolivar; four grandchildren, Micheal Glenn Dupray, Craig Allen Dupray, Christine Burnett (Robert), and Aaron Woodbury (Chrissy); and eight grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Vincent Woodbury; her parents; and a grandson John James Woodbury in 2005.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church in Scranton, PA.
