Mary Mozelle “Mighty Moe the CO” was born June 5, 1932 in Arkadelphia, Alabama. She passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the age of 93 in Hanceville, Alabama.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, compassion, and hard work. She spent a lifetime as a caretaker for her parents, husband, brother-in-law, and for patients at Woodland Nursing Home and CRMC where she spent many years as a nursing assistant and was celebrated as Employee of the Year in 1996. Granny Moe was famous for the fried apple pies, sweet fudge, and chicken n dumplings that she made in her home kitchen affectionately known as “Tootsie’s Cafe.”

The family would like to extend their most profound gratitude to the staff at Hanceville Nursing Home and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for the care, love, and respect they showed Granny Moe.

While her family is saddened by her loss, they find peace knowing she is reunited with those who left before her: parents, Dan and Belle Rodgers, her husband Hollis Entrekin, brother Homer Rodgers, baby sister Ruby Rodgers, brother in law Ottis “Bud” Entrekin, son Roger Entrekin, grandson Matt Osborne, and her beloved dog Penny.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her son, Tim (Brandy) Entrekin, grandchildren Allen (Teresa) Entrekin, Stacy Osborn, Bethany Entrekin, Tristan Entrekin, sister Wanda Henderson, brother JR Rodgers, two daughters in love Brenda Entrekin and Diane Entrekin, and 6 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
