Ms. Mary Moffitt, age 74, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 in Jackson. She was born March 11, 1948 in Lexington to the late John Riley and Neva Jane Hayes Maness. She was a retired Brown Shoe employee and attended Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her family, loved to cook, and playing cards. She was preceded in death by one son, Samuel Andrew Moffitt; two brothers, John Wayne Maness and Thomas Maness; and three sisters, Mary Ann Jowers, Arlene Maness, and Velma Maness. Survivors include her son, Jerry Moffitt (Rebecca); four daughters, Pamela Sue Duke (Charles), Lisa Mooney, Amber Campbell (Billy), and Addilyn Watson; two brothers, Jerry Maness and Willie Maness (Sunny); thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM, Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Central Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Central Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 1-8 PM at Pafford Funeral Home and on Thursday, 12-1 PM at Central Grove Baptist Church.
