Mary Martha Plunkett – Obituary

Graveside Services for Mary Martha Plunkett, of Cullman, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Cullman City Cemetery, with Pastor John Bussman officiating. Cullman Funeral Home directing. Martha was born in Birmingham to the late James & Willie Mary Culbreth Sellers; and passed away peacefully at her home on Friday. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church; and the Sunshine Club. Was the Office Manager for her late husband’s, Dr. E.G. Plunkett, Dental Office. Also held several different board appointments, Cullman County Hospice Board; Red Cross, Chi Omega Alumna and the Alabama Dental Auxiliary. Mrs. Plunkett is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Dot Webb and brother-in-law, Browder Webb. Survivors include, Daughter – Pat Starr; Granddaughter – Tiffanie Starr; Grandson-in-Law – Derek Boudreau; and two Great-Granddaughters – Martha Boudreau and Adele Boudreau. The family also wishes to express great thanks to Nell & Jerry Brown, Diane Green, and Alacare Hospice, especially Shirley and Ellen. In Lieu-of-flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran School or to the charity of your choice in honor of Mary Martha Plunkett.
