Mary Madglane “Maggie” Gates Angus, 86, passed away on June 11, 2021 in Huntsville, AL. She was born May 16, 1935 to Elijah Larkin Gates and Josephine Rolin Gates.
Mrs. Maggie and Mr. Malcolm were married for 63 years. She was was a housewife that loved flowers, gardening, had a green thumb, and loved animals. She loved her kids and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandsons, Jacob and John Angus; brothers and sisters, Alberta Johnson, Katie Woodfin, Louise Hogan, Bud Gates, Leatrice Anderson and Bill Gates.
She is survived by her husband, Malcolm Angus; sons, Randal (Nancy) Angus and Mark Angus; daughters, Charlotte (Mark) Watson and Arlene Summers; grandchildren, Randy Lee McCafferty, Aleshia Summers, Frances (Jason) Ferguson, Jessica (Calvin) Moore, Whitney (Josh) King, Natasha (Matt) Bailey, and Jordan (Megan) Angus; great-grandchildren, Yancy, Matthew, Elizabeth, Emily, Erin, Micah, Kaylup, Blade, Elijah, Nicholas, Carter, Sawyer, Cooper, Lexie and Lyla.
The Visitation will be Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL at 4:00 PM with Bro. Derrick Moose officiating.
Pallbearers will be Randy, Jordan, Yancy, Matthew, Blade, Kaylup, Nicholas, and Micah. Honorary pallbearers will be Carter and Elijah.
