Mary M. Smith, 92, died Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Generations of Red Bay, AL. She was born in Elaine, AR and worked thirty years as a seamstress for Blue Bell and Wrangler. She was a member of New Union Missionary Baptist Church.
Services will be Sunday, October 24, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Jerry George officiating. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens, Dennis, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by three daughters – Linda Monroe (David), Joan Dill and Mary Ann Fisher; ten grandchildren – Cressoline Cummings (Greg), Melinda Garrison, Carl Garrison, Elise Speegle (Randolph), Nicole Mason (Jonathan), Chris Monroe, David Dill (Jennifer), Greg Dill (Stephanie), Joby Dill (Tiffany) and Jeremy Dill; sixteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one sister – Jean Johnson (Dick); a son-in-law – Carlton Garrison and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Blake Smith; a daughter, Nancy Garrison and her parents, Bob and Nancy Gassaway.
Pallbearers will be Skylor Dill, Trae Dill, Chris Monroe, Randolph Speegle, Chris Adams and Christian Speegle.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 24, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
