Mary Lounette Pierce, affectionately known as Momma, Mamaw, Mary, Lou Lou, Ms. Mary, and Aunt Lou Lou, passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born on August 18, 1949, in Houston, Mississippi, to the late Roscoe S. Smith and Amorie Robertson Smith.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was loved by many and will be remembered for the love, kindness, and joy she brought to those around her.
Mary treasured spending time with her family and friends, especially enjoying family get-togethers and took great delight in spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She made it a priority to attend as many of their sporting events as possible, always cheering them on and proudly supporting them.
She was previously a member of East Heights Baptist Church, where she enjoyed fellowshipping and serving with her Sunday School class. Mary loved listening to gospel music and old hymns, and she also enjoyed watching westerns on television.
A celebration of life reception will be 4 PM-6 PM on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with a private family only service after. Holland Funeral Directors are honored to be serving the friends and family.
Mary is survived by her three daughters, Cindy Baskins (David) of Tupelo, MS; Angela Park (Paul) of Pontotoc, MS; and Keely Green (Jeremy) of Guntown, MS; grandchildren, Ethan Park (Gabby), Evan Park, Payton McCord, John Luke McCord (Abby), and Mallory Green; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Rose Nichols (Kenneth) of Houston, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe S. Smith and Amorie Robertson Smith; her sister, Rebecca Scott of Houston, MS; her brothers, Gene Smith of Saltillo, MS, and Glenn Smith of Houston, MS; her niece, Glenda Rose of Mendenhall, MS; and her beloved grandson, Tyler Green of Tupelo, MS.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons.
